I am a DACA recipient from Mexico. I grew up in a small town called Morton, IL. We were 1 of 2 Hispanic households in a town of 15,000. In 13 years of living in that area, I became an intermediary between the world in English and my parents. This experience opened my eyes to the few resources that exist in Spanish. I have seen my parents battle to obtain medical care and people try to take advantage of them because of their lack of English.

Because of this, I have always made it my mission to help my community better understand financial topics and obtain the resources they need to succeed. My biggest inspiration is helping other teenage Americans not feel overwhelmed by having the pressure of their families on their shoulders. My other inspiration is helping Spanish-speaking families insure their future and their children's.

My hope for the future, for the government to give immigrant families a chance.
